Just over half of all businesses surveyed for this report told us that they are currently outsourcing their threat management (an average of 58.5%). Whether this is down to a lack of security talent, or due to an undervaluing of the importance of dedicated in-house experts was unclear, but the emphasis on outsourced security presents an inroad for new technology solutions providers to vie for work. Global shortages in skilled security professionals opens the door for products from authentication providers as well intelligent solutions for threat management as AI/ML threat detection technology improves.
